Smidge & his athritis

30/6/2010

PictureSmidge now 13 yrs old
Just had to show this lovely picture of Smidge I just took. He is just so handsome & he is going on really well again, after having his acute arthritis attack last week & seeing the vet. He was given cortisone .Which is for old dogs with chronic muscular , skeletal problems  that can then get acute pain from time to time a steroid that is a miracle drug in the relief it gives from pain to are faithful friend.

Alfie keeping in touch

25/6/2010

Above is Alfie he is from are first litter of Cavapoos, please click on photo's to see full size. I had an phone call today from his owner to tell me how he is getting on and she then sent me these lovely pictures which she said I could use on my site. He really is a gorgeous chap and he is not just gorgeous to look at but has also got a great temperament and attitude to life, so much so that his owner has booked a pup from our next litter of Cavapoos, which is really nice to know that she was happy to come back to us and that this crossbreed is producing such a lovely type of dog.

Pain relief for Smidge

24/6/2010

Smidge has been given cortisone & is like a new man, thanks to modern medicine. It is always a worry when your dog is not well, but as they get into their teens the worry is even greater as you know that something quite minor to a young dog could be a real challenge for a older dog, but Smidge lives to fight another day. Long live the Smidge!

Smidge needs to see the vet

24/6/2010

Not a good morning, my old boy Smidge having trouble with his hip, going to vet in a minute. He is on daily pain relief for his hip but it obviously is not helping him at the moment. Really not nice to see a friend in pain, lets hope its a bit of cortisone and it will stop the pain. Such an old soldier Smidge.

Millies pups 5 weeks old

23/6/2010

Time goes so quick Millie's pups are over 5 weeks old & only have one left to find forever home for. I am keeping one girl back from this very special litter. The children have picked her & have named her Smudge, due to a bit of brown on her lip which looks like s smudge. I am very lucky with the people I meet through these little dogs as they say, like attracts like & it seems that the Cavalier pet owner is very much like the breed, friendly & easy going. Must add Smudge to The Girls page so you can see who which one she is.

Heart Checks

18/6/2010

Hello out there my first Blog. Had a great week as had stud dog Charlie & all girls hearts checked on the 15th June & they are all clear certificated, Charlie is now 41/2 yrs old so really glad to always know he is going on fine & dandy. Having annual eye checks on 6th July so keeping every thing crossed again for that. Millie Mum of are last litter is going on fine with her 6 pups & they will be ready for their new homes from the 12th July (see New Arrivals) there is 3 pups available from this litter.
