Summer guests

Those who read the blog regularly will know on occasion I have our pups back to look after them whilst their families go on holiday. This Summer we will see a regular, who has been back with us a few times now Archie. Archie is from Smudge's first ever litter born of an amazing Nine pups back on the 27th April 2012. Angie emailed me to ask if I could have him this Summer and I emailed her to say okay and she sent me a lovely reply along with a funny Fred Basset cartoon.
"That's really brilliant! Thank you for having him again! These husbands are very lucky to have us blonde and grey wives!
I think the date for our holiday is the last week in July and the first week in August, but will let you know later when I have checked .
Can't wait to see Treacle's litter pictures soon! They'll be beautiful.
We still bump into the other Poundlane Archie on our walks at darts farm and they are always delighted to see each other! That always makes my day!
Forgot to say that Hannah was inspired to do lots of baking the other day after I showed her the things you make! She made some very tasty cheese scones and brownies!
Archie perfected his sad face and stared me out very pitifully! He reminded me of Fred Bassett so I found some old copies in the antique warehouse at Topsham and leave them around the house to have a chuckle at. This is my favourite ...

Have a great week and will keep looking at the website every day for treacle news!

Love Angie xxx"

Thanks Angie, look forward to seeing you all in the Summer. Just adding after posting this blog, that Angie says, "These husbands are very lucky to have us blonde and grey wives!", because we we're having a joke about being married for a while and aging, and I told her how lucky my husband is, because he married a brunette and now has a blonde wife with grey highlights.
Another Summer guest this year will be Archie's half brother, Bertie Boo aka Freckle nose. He is from Smudge's last litter, another nine pups born last year on the 24th April and this blog Nine little pups all in a row is about Archie's owner Angie noting Archie being 3 years old when Bertie Boo is 3 days old. Will look forward to catching up with Bertie Boo and his family.
Last but not least, we will be getting a visit from Charlie in September. Charlie is the Dad to Smudge and Primrose. Vince and Sheila normally visit us with Charlie in the Spring, but this year due to I think Easter being early, getting in where they normally stay, they are coming to visit in September. Really looking forward to seeing Charlie and his family. He turned 10 years old the beginning of this year and Vincent tells me, "Charlie is well & says hello." Charlie can be found at the bottom of The Boys page under the title 'The Old Boy.'
