Treacle gave birth to her first pup this morning at 6.43 am and her last pup at 10.24 am. She has five pups, only one girl, born first, and the rest are boys. So one Blenheim girl, two Blenheim boys and two Ruby boys. She gave birth really easily, if you can call giving birth easy, and as with her first litter, two years ago she is proving to be a calm and wonderful mother. Two years ago she had a c-section, because she was unlucky. The first puppy presented itself shoulder forward with head back. Getting this puppy off tired her so much, that she struggled to proceed with birthing the rest of the pups she was carrying, so a c-section was done. Sometimes whelping is the luck of the draw, and thankfully this time luck was on our side. The slideshow is from the first pup being born (the only girl), through to tidying up everything after the last pup arrived. Please do not start contacting me about having a puppy from this litter at this time. As published on the Puppies available page when announcing doing this litter, "Please be patient. We will wait for them to be born and when around two weeks old, we will put up on the website about contacting us if interested in a pup from Casper and Treacle's litter."
