Over at Cavalierhealth.org they report on a German survey looking at Chiari-like Malformation and Syringomyelia in Cavaliers. It makes for pretty sad reading Survey of 339 German cavaliers finds 97.1% with Chiari-like malformation and 48.1% with SM.
Breeding them in to extinction. Crossbreeding is the only way to undo the damage, but I fear it may be becoming to late if not enough breeders recognize this sooner rather than later.
