Yesterday we had the loog awaited annual visit from Sheila and Vincent with Charlie. I say, "long awaited," because normally they visit us in the Spring, but this year they were unable to book the place they stay at when they come down on holiday, which allows dogs. So had to come later in the year to get a booking at this place. Charlie is our old Cavalier stud dog, who at five years old we had neutered and then became part of Sheila and Vincent's family. He is now over ten and a half years old, and is still pretty fit and well for an old boy. He is the Father of Primrose and Smudge, so the Grandfather of Blottie and Bumble, and the Grandfather of the two pups we have here at the moment of Primrose's, Bertha and Sacha. Lovely as always to catch up with Sheila and Vincent. They arrived at 2 pm and stayed for some supper, spaghetti bolognese and trifle. Leaving sometime after 9.30 pm. Time always flies when they are here. Hopefully all going well, it won't be so long until their next annual visit. Provisional plans are for May 2017 and we will try and tie it in with our oldest, Bert being home.
