Harry has found a home. Harry came back to us last Saturday to re home. He is one of our Cavalier/Brittany pups we bred last year. He is going to live with his sister, Daisy, who Laura has. Laura contacted me on Saturday about him and I said, "Give me a couple days to asses him and I will get back to you on Monday." Laura got back to me first on Monday morning with a lovely email,
"Hi Jane, I hope you are well and have had a good couple of days with Harry. It was lovely seeing the video of him meeting some of the pack, especially his sisters. Are your first impressions of him since his return still the same? He seems like such a good natured soul. Rob and I have discussed at length the possibility of adding Harry to our family. I can't properly express the change to our family since we got Daisy - she has brought us so much joy and even the challenging bits have been enjoyable in a strange way. My days are structured around her walks and our weekends revolve around going to dog-friendly places. While I know it would mean more work, I think we could give Harry a lovely home here and I think Daisy would love a companion and playmate to do doggy things with. Please let me know what you think." Emails like that are what makes dealing with arseholes more tolerable. So we have been corresponding and they are coming to get Harry on Friday. Harry has been such an easy dog to look after the last couple days fitting in to our pack of 13 dogs, I think Daisy and him are going to get along just fine.
