'So dark up above'

Yet again today it is raining here in the UK. It has been a really wet December, but we knew it had to come, after such a dry October and first part of November. 
The photos are me coming in with the dogs, this morning after running them out. Our back house has taken a mud battering this winter. The rain, does make have several dogs, hard work.
The rain is really is coming down like stair rods outside now as I type this, but I have something to cheer us up at Poundlane for lunch. The smell of it cooking this morning has infused our home with the lovely smell of nutmeg, a rice pudding I put in the oven this morning, made with milk straight from the milk tank at work.  Proper comfort food for a dark, wet , winters day.
