Time draws near for Treacle

Treacle's temperature bottomed out last night at 37. 1 °C. Normal temperature for a dog is between 38.3 to 39.2 °C. The temperature lowering like this indicates that birth is on it's way in the next 24 hours. Looks like she may of taken from her earliest mating.
I think we will have pups before the weekend is out, unless my thermometer is playing up. Treacle is now on around the clock watch.

Treacle this morning

I don't like to anthropomorphise my dogs, but last night in the shower and most of the dogs had been put to bed in the utility. I could hear Dolly barking, which is unusual. She was lied calmly when I went out to see what was the matter and wondered if she sensed something with her daughter, Treacle. So I let her in and she sniffed and seemed to mother Treacle for a moment and then lied beside her. Our dogs are a very close pack and they happily mother each others offspring. Dolly being Treacle's Mother brings an even stronger tie and I think come the time and all goes well, these pups ain't going to want for mothering..
