![]() Yesterday Laura arrived from Kent to choose a girl pup from Smudge's litter to become part of her family. Laura had come minus husband and children, as she was tying in visiting us with a visit to a friend in Cornwall and her two daughters are yet to know about the new addition to the family. Laura decided on the biggest girl with a pink collar on and gave her the name Daisy. Laura also came bearing gifts of a nice bottle of red wine and some treats for each of the dogs which, was very kind and I sort of felt a twang of guilt, because after writing about Joan and Collin's visit and bringing cheese and dog toys, I thought people may feel obliged to give me gifts when visiting. So I'm going to say that, "Gifts are not a must, when visiting us." It was lovely meeting Laura and watching you nurse Daisy, who happily snoozed in your arms. The slideshow is of all the pups now of Smudge's, who are now forty days old. Now the weather has got better, I will hope to get some video footage of them out and about over the next few weeks.

“The greatest pleasure of a dog is that you may make a fool of yourself with him, and not only will he not scold you,but he will make a fool of himself, too.”
