As we approach the last moments of 2012 and for some now will be already in the New Year. I thought I would just get a quick blog in. Christmas day was a very relaxed affair this year, as last year we had several pups with us and it has been lovely to hear and see how they have been getting on since leaving us throughout this year and not forgetting all the updates and photo's I have recieved from pups that we have bred from previous years. Thank you all for keeping me updated.
As I said a quick blog and I will try to keep to that. Boxing day was eventful with Millie up to her old tricks with the gate being left ajar, she disappeared giving Jessica who followed her, a crash course in tracking, so Boxing day morning I spent three hours tracking them and evetually found them tails a wagging and most pleased to see me out on a rather long jaunt with them. Never scold a dog when they have wandered off, even though you might feel angry, as its nature when they wander, the best thing is to make sure you do some wandering with them and that your children shut the gate properly after themself. Lol
Then yesterday the gate was left ajar again and the two rascals disappeared again and no more need to be said, but this Christmas is the first one I've actually lost weight, so I suppose you could say, some good has come of their two little excursions. Luckily we live rurally and I know all the local farmers, who are very tolerant of my little spaniels and have actually said that they enjoy watching them work and will ring me if sighted but one does worry and although reported to never go near stock, if they are in a field near stock, a farmer has the right to shoot them.
A couple photo's of the dogs over Christmas and one is of Ysobel actually in the dishwasher on Cristmas day. I new the dinner tasted nice and Ysobel liked the taste enough that as I went to shut the dishwasher and thought why is the tray not sliding in, to see her looking out. I also have a photo of Millie and Jessica when I returned with them from their Boxing Day jaunt.
Have some health test news to come and I've had an epiphany which I will explain soon.
Time to wind it up for 2012 and I have had a demon at my heals this year in my personal life which took my eye off the ball with the administration side of the dogs and I know I have not got back to some who have emailed me, so please drop me a line again to give me a friendly nudge. We have had ups with Smudge producing our largest litter ever and all mum's and pups safe and sound for 2012 and the demon, well that got sorted too, so dusting myself off for 2013 and to everyone, I wish you all a Happy Year for 2013.
