Alfie sort of left us on Friday. When I say, "sort of" I mean he has left us, but as he only lives (literally)
just up the road, so he will be coming back to get his second jab and microchip (as the vet forgot the scanner, to do them a couple weeks ago) on Wednesday, and for the next couple weeks. He will be with us on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, until he is seven days after his second DHP, and Kennel Cough vaccination, and will be able to go to the day care Caroline as arranged for him whilst she is working.
Alfie weighed a whopping 5.5 kilos on leaving us. The biggest pup of the litter from the get go, but a proper softie, and already showing an aptitude for training. I wish Caroline and her family all the best with Alfie, and it will be interesting to hear if he shows any flare in the field, as he hopefully follows on behind their 6 year old working Springer spaniel boy, Max.
