Milking this evening, so got supper cooked up before leaving home, to just heat through when I got back in the door. I cooked a pasta bake and noticed some stale bread that needed using up. I laid the bread out on the bread board and went to get the butter. Our daughter, Florrie arrived in the kitchen to ask what I was doing and I told her that, "I was going to use up the stale bread by making a bread and butter pudding." She then told me the bread was not only stale "but mouldy as well." I picked it up and inspected it closer, picking off the bits of mould and then telling her, "It ain't mouldy bread anymore." She went "Yuk!" and declared she would "not be eating my mouldy pudding," but I know Florrie to well and she really likes bread and butter pudding, and for whatever reason (maybe the mould), that bread and pudding tasted very nice tonight, and after me eating a bowl with much smacking and licking of lips. She succumbed to having a bowl of it and then a second bowl of it.
Most dogs like to hunt, some dogs live to hunt. I would put Blottie in the later.
Made in to eight pies
Still using up the blackberries
Just David, fed and watered
And one pie left for David's pack lunch tomorrow
Treacle is now off heat, so is back in the pack and back in the house, after being kenneled outside whilst on heat.
Blottie and Bumble back in the house today
Bumble and Blottie are finally off heat today and are back in the pack and home, spending the first couple hours asleep with their half sisters, Rose and Bertha in their crate.
Received an email update for Albey a couple days ago, along with some rather stunning photos of him. He is Ernest and Lily's brother from our first F1b (3/4 Cavalier 1/4 Poodle) litter born earlier this year Thankfully all is safe
I've been really enjoying watching the recent puppies grow up and seeing them find their new homes, it takes me back to spring time when we were excited about Albey and his siblings
Albey's fur has become soft and fluffy again! We've just given him a bath and after drying him he looked very much like he did at 8weeks old! He has lots of energy and loves to run. He has discovered that fallen leaves are huge fun and will do 'zoomies' chasing the leaves as they blow around in the breeze!
The other day I took some photos of him looking rather majestic so thought I'd show you.
Wishing Bert the best of luck on his new adventures!"
Thanks Heather, he certainly is a very majestic and handsome young man.
A few days ago I received an update from Vanessa, who has Alfie. Alfie 's Mum is Dolly and Dad is my sister's Miniature Poodle, Rollo born August 2010 Dolly's Cavapoo Pups have arrived !
Got an email update for Primrose's Barnaby, who left us for his new home last Saturday.
Elvis is Barnaby's new friend and Georgina's parents dog. Thanks Georgina. Looks like Elvis and him might become real mates. Elvis looks very happy with his new playmate.
Just got these rather cute photos of Rose and Bertha asleep in their crate. I took the first one and then noticed they had then rolled over together a few minutes later.
