The Rugby World Cup kicks off here in the UK tonight with the first game being England v Fiji starting a 8 pm at Twickenham, London. So the dogs and us shall be mostly watching rugby over the coming weeks. Woe betide anyone ringing during a televised match. I've loaded up a video from YouTube, just to get us warmed up. Should I enjoy watching this so much? What the 'ell "Bring on the boom!"
Having watched rugby from the sidelines, you often wonder how there is not more serious injuries than there is. The video above does show some very dangerous illegal tackles and at this web page http://playerwelfare.worldrugby.org/?documentid=63 you can read the World Rugby Union's rules on tackling.
“The greatest pleasure of a dog is that you may make a fool of yourself with him, and not only will he not scold you,but he will make a fool of himself, too.”
