Three weeks ago on a Sunday I drove up to Essex's to view a litter of Cavalier cross Brittany pups. I picked the bitch pup available and named her "Rosie." Yesterday after watching Bert pass out, we drove on to Essex and picked her up. She will be nine weeks old this Monday. Very excited finding her. Really nice breeding on both sides and got to see not only her Brittany Mum (who is eight, very well with low hip scored parents), and Cavalier Dad (who is seven years old and very well), but also her Cavalier Grandmother, she is eleven years and also is still very fit and well. This brings in a fresh bloodline of Brittany (which I had been looking to do) and also Cavalier. Using Mate Select from the Kennel Club looking at the Inbreeding coefficient that I would get using Rosie's Brittany line with my Brittany line we have a very low Inbreeding coefficient of 0.5% and with the Cavalier side of her with all our lines we don't go above 3%. One to watch!
