Our son Thomas caught this lovely photo of Blottie this morning. Blottie like her Mum Smudge and Grandmother Millie are not the easiest to capture their aesthetic beauty, and I know unfortunately for the best part peoples idea of aesthetic beauty in dogs has been warped in to a garish caricature of them. You only have to take a quick glance around YouTube, Facebook or Instagram to see how far the eye has been blinded.
Over the years though with Blottie's Grandmother (Millie who is our cover girl on the Home page) and Mum I have occasionally managed to catch a glimpse of not only their aesthetic beauty, but something else in the moment of capture has been caught, a glimpse of what lies beneath their skin deep beauty. The photo caught of Blottie this morning I think opens that door slightly with Blottie giving not only a favorable likeness of herself aesthetically, but also a glimpse of what lies beneath.
“The greatest pleasure of a dog is that you may make a fool of yourself with him, and not only will he not scold you,but he will make a fool of himself, too.”
