Just got back from the vets and taking Treacle to have a pregnancy scan. I knew she was pregnant and we could see at least four foetuses on the scan. Did this match three years ago, and really pleased with Ernest and Lily, who we kept back from the litter. Already breeding from Ernest and hoping to breed from Lily next year.
Decided not to say anything until we knew for sure. Not sure whether we will keep back from this litter. Would be very tempted if one was tricoloured, but I have to keep one eye on the amount of dogs we have. This litter is probably more about exorcising the ghost of puppy strangles which have hung over our last two litters.
Treacle is so fit at six years old, she came on heat, and I know I had said, I was not breeding from her again, but she has only had two litters and she produces such lovely healthy jolly little pups, it seemed a shame after seeing Lily and Ernest make such healthy adult dogs, to not try this combination again. Toby has proven at seven, not being used for three years, he is still firing on all cylinders. I have used this boy very little. I am considering him on one of our Brittany/Cavalier girls next year, now I know he's still up for the job.
No contacting me now about this litter. If interested, read the website, especially the page titled "Buying A Puppy From Poundlane" and sit back and watch until we put up that we are looking for homes for her pups, all going well.
