Treacle has now noticeably slowed up in the last couple days, as her pregnancy gets towards full term. I've been sleeping on the sofa the last couple nights, near the whelping pen, to keep an eye on her, and she is happy to sleep in the whelping pen now, away from the rest of the dogs. Which is a sign things are moving along. She's uncomfortable in the fact that she is now heavily pregnant, but she's yet to show any real signs that she is starting the process of going in to labour, although I would not risk leaving her unattended for any length of time at this stage.
“The greatest pleasure of a dog is that you may make a fool of yourself with him, and not only will he not scold you,but he will make a fool of himself, too.”
― Samuel Butler
