Ysabel has been a bit of colour. The day before yesterday she got sick a couple of times in the evening, which it was grass sick (when a dog eats grass to make itself sick, thought this is their way to clear anything bad out of their system) so with her being pregnant as well did not start to ring alarm bells. In the morning though she had done three more little piles of sick on the kitchen floor & this did start the alarm bells ringing , so took her to the vet in the afternoon & she was still getting sick & if she tryed to drink she then burped it back up. My vet gave her a shoot of Synulox which is a antibiotic which is harmless to the pups & due to anti- vomit drugs having no clinical trial data for pregnant bitches the vet felt that I would keep an eye on her for the night & if still vomiting by the morning to bring her back to the vets & give her fluids introveniously, so this morning at 5 oclock to go in the kitchen & see Ysabel tucking into her cooked chicken & having a good drink, then keeping it all down was a relief. The only thing was to check the pups inside her are okay, so I had the vet scan her & every thing looked okay & although hard at this stage to put a number on it as they are so intertwined & wriggling about, there is at least 4 pups. So great news after all the worry. Ysabel now is like nothing has been wrong with her & this evening is now just tucking in happily to her supper & is probably wondering what all my worry was about.
