More updates ! Millie surprises us ! Finally found one !

4/1/2012

Dolly's & Ysabel's Cavapoo pups have except Belle all left now  for their new homes. The vet has no news yet about Belle's leg from the orthopedic vet which I take as no news is good news but will be on the phone yet again tomorrow to chase them up. No doubt the bill will arrive on time !
Tonight two very cute photo's of two of Millie's offspring & Smudge's siblings Oliver & Maddie.
Madeleine says hello for Oliver & they are both well.  Alison says that Maddie loves it in her box as whilst playing with it over the holidays they plonked her in it & she loved it. Thanks for the lovely photo's !
Michelle picked up Tinkerbell two days ago & she & Charley her two year old Cavapoo seem to already be hitting it off. They have slept together on their first night happily & Tinkerbell was clean. Looks like your off to a flying start Michelle & thanks for the photo's of your two together.
All of Lucy's pups are chosen now & we have two names so far with Spencer with an orange collar & Mojo with the green collar.
Some good news for a few people tonight Millie has decided to come on heat two months earlier than usual. Millie comes on heat every 12 months so far in her life, but we had noticed Reggie sniffing around the girls a bit more eagarly the last couple days thinking maybe Primrose or Smudge might be coming on as due any day now but checking Millie to & thought she was a little swollen. Today she has just started to bleed. Millie is normally mateable around 12 days so this means pups born around the middle of March ready for homes roughly around the beginning of May. So fingers crossed that Reggie & Millie hit it off.
I finally after 11 months have found a Cavalier stud dog to buy. I will not be picking him up for a few weeks as he is a 10 hour round trip to pick up & with pups on the ground cannot do this until they leave, as the older dogs it is easy to get one of my family to come over & look after for the day but it would be unfair to leave the responsibility of a litter of pups as well.
He is a hansome boy from his photos & just hope he lives upto this when I first meet him in the flesh. He is a true broken coat as well with the silky  bright white that the Blenheims should have. He is 18 months old  heart & eye tested & is proven being used at 12 months & with a pup from his first litter having success already in the show ring. Was losing hope of finding a Blenheim boy & a little excited about this chap. I'm calling him my belated Christmas surprise !
Finally a few photo's of the rest of the pack taken over the last ten days. They have been playing a bit of second fiddle to the pups lately so I thought it would be nice to see a few old faces tonight.

Hello Jane,

I hope that the orthopedic vet comes back with good news for Belle and in the mean time, like you say, no news is good news. Glad to hear that you have found a stud for the girls, I'm sure he will turn out to be a top dog making the 10hr round trip worthwhile. This was the same distance we made when making our first visit to choose Roxy and then for our second visit to collect her and we are now even thinking of doing it a third and a fourth time, if we decide to take a play mate for Roxy. Its a good job we love Devon so much lol. What a lovely photo of Maddie in her box, she really does have beautiful eyes.
Michelle, you seem to have got off on the right foot, Charlie really does look like he has taken to Tinkerbell in such a short space of time. This will make life so much easier for Tinkerbell. She is also showing all the right signs like going through the night without needing to toilet. I remember Roxy being just the same. She has never had an accident in our house & is proving to be a real star. She is a very clever little dog! We are very interested in regular updates on Charlie & Tinkerbell as we are thinking about getting a play mate for Roxy, but not until Roxy is at least two. My theory is that by then Roxy should be at the right age to teach the new puppy what to do, & I'm sure Charlie will do the same with Tinkerbell so good luck & please keep me posted.

Best Wishes

Tracey xx :-)

Hi Tracey, Charley turned 2 last hallowean and whilst we got him from a different breeder he wasn't paper trained as we'd been told and I don't think he'd ever been outside! Took us a while to get him completely housetrained, especially overnight but as he was in his crate it wasn't a major problem. Once he was around 10 months he started "marking" which was a bit of a shock but within 3-4 months he got out of that and is now the perfect dog. He's very tolerant and friendly (we have 5 children aged 6 and above and a 3 year old Grandson!). My parents thought I was made having another puppy and have told me lots of horror stories from friends of hers bringing another puppy into the house. Whilst it's still early days, Tinks is a very friendly, energetic bundle of fluff. She is a bit of an attention seeker and takes every toy off Charley, chases him up and down the garden and does nip him a fair bit. However we are correcting her and Charley occasionally lets her know when she's overstepping the mark without being vicious. She's certainly had a good start and we have been amazed each morning we've come down to see a clean crate, especially the first morning and over the weekend (we always sleep in a bit longer than a school week!). I'm sure if you decide to get another puppy you'll have no problems especially if you get one from Jane. We are very happy and are sure things can only get better. Will keep you updated. Michelle xx

YAY a Cavalier stud dog!
Can't wait to see the little man and the pups he produces!
Shame you didn't get him in time for Millie.
If your journey brings you anywhere near Leicestershire you are more than welcome to stop here.

Hello Michelle,

Really pleased that they are both getting on so well. I bet that they are like a comedy act at times! We wouldn't go anywhere else other than Jane if we were to get puppy number two, having got Roxy from Jane in the first place we would be very silly indeed to go anywhere else. Thank you so much for getting back to me & looking forward to more updates.

Best Wishes

Tracey xx :-)
