Viewings, Birthday's, Anniversary & Chicken Pox !

27/11/2011

We have had a busy weekend with 5 viewings of pups & a visit to meet the pack from a family waiting for a pup from Millie's litter later on in 2012. I hope we managed to give everyone time & hopefully no one felt like they were on a conveyorbelt.
The chosen pups are from Dolly's litter black boy with blue collar now called Edward, black girl with brown collar, black boy with with white collar & golden boy with black collar now called Alfie. From Ysabel's litter we have a golden boy with blue collar reserved.
The next couple weeks will see people viewing to chose the golden pups & tomorrow & Tuesday will see the last two black pups reserved.
It was my very patient husbands birthday yesterday & our wedding anniversary but with the busy day, my Mum recovering, Molly one of our daughters with Chicken Pox & my husbands parents away it was impossible to get out to celebrate, so we had a meal in & planned to watch a DVD which was The Hangover, really cannot give a review of the movie as we promptly both fell asleep within minutes of it playing under our duvet of Cavaliers & Reggie & we nearly burnt our meal. We did though after rescueing our dinner watch a bit of Peter Kay's new offering on DVD. I have yet to watch all of it but I was almost crying with laughter at one moment but then coughing uncontrollably kicked in as my cold I had has left me with a very tickly throat & laughing sets of coughing. I would though recommend Peter Kay's new DVD he is a funny man.
Dolly's pups are now 4 weeks old & are into everything & my children's interest in them has also increased because of this. They will happily chew a finger or the end of your nose & will wag their tales which I always find amusing when they start to do this in interaction to your voice or touch.
Lots of phot's of Dolly's pups but a little lacking of Ysabel's pups. I think this might be because they are not quite so mobile yet but will soon be venturing beyond the crate.

 Dolly's Cavapoo Pups 4 weeks
                                old

Ysabel's Cavapoo pups 3 weeks
                    & 2 days old

We have a doggy guest at the moment in Lucinda who is staying with us until the middle of January whilst Sue & Jim visit their family in Australia. Lucinda has been neutered & has settled back into the fold like she had never left us but I am sure she will be happy to see Sue & Jim on their return.
Lucy is now approacing 8 weeks pregnant & at the end of this week will go on round the clock watch. She is now looking quite big but in full health & appetite. Lucy is a very robust Cavalier with an appetite to match & is one of the few Mum's I have to watch her weight while lactating.
Lastly tonight as promised the lovely photo of Alfie sent to me from Vanessa a little while ago showing him with one of the flower heads that Vanessa said he likes to remove. We have another Alfie in Dolly's litter now being the only golden boy just like his half brother Alfie 1 was in his litter. Thanks Vanessa for this special photo & your regular kind commemts on my blogs.

Hi Jane and family,
Thank you so much for the wonderful time we had on Saturday meeting you all. What a birthday for your husband!
It was great to meet Edward and all the other puppies - they were all gorgeous.
Buffy can't wait for Christmas to be over and to have Edward at home with her. We have been out buying puppy toys today. I think Edward needs to write a letter to Santa!!.
Thanks again,
Dawn, Wayne & Buffy x

Thanks Louise & Dawn. Just had to mention that Louise has to be commended on her patience in waiting for her boy. Back in January Louise contacted me & just missed a pup from our last litter, she then had disppointment when we had two of our girls did not go in pups earlier this year & then we decided we would not bred for a while as we tryed to sell our home, as we were struggling a bit financial but we road the storm & things have panned out.Louise had asked me to keep intouch when we planned to breed again so when I new we were going to I contacted her & she was still waiting for a pup from us. So now finally 10 months later Louise has got to chose her Cavapoo pup & 11 months after first contacting me will be taking her new family member home. Louise, well done you for showing the greatest virtue in getting a pup patience. I am going to want so many photo's from you.lol

Hi Jane,
Whew!! What a week-end you have had. The pictures of the pups are gorgeous, can't wait to see them before they all go to their new homes and finally meet with you in couple of weeks time. You have done an absolutely amazing job rearing the pups and coping with your family.

Good Morning Jane, Once again you have come up trumps with the photos, Lots of giggles and ahhhhs from me, how will I get anything done to-day. So lovely to see Dolly's pups with the children and their toys. Ysabels pups coming on a treat, what a difference a few days makes at this stage. I hope the chicken pox is not too bad, your tale of your anniversary celebrations also shows what an incredible sense of humour you have.
Best wishes Margaret

Hi Jane, the choice to wait for you was not a hard one, before i found your website, i found few ppl selling this breed, which is the only breed of dog i wanted. these ppl were either scamers or not very good breeders, there was one person who i emailed, said they would bring the puppy to me, few hours drive away, mother unable to view, this rang BIG alarm bells to me, so started my search again and found you, who takes such care with breeding and puts so much time, effort and love in to ALL your dogs and breeds them to make better dogs in the future for all us lucky ppl wanting such loving dogs in our home, you truly are a fantastic person and i count my lucky stars i found your website that day and know i will receive our pup that has had the best start possible to his life, and i will do my hardest to continue and look forward to the day we pick him up to join our family, and will be sending loads of pic's for sure. thanks again love louise xxxx

Louise you sound such a lovely person & I am so pleased for you darling. Your puppy is very lucky to have a kind & caring family to take them on. The time will fly by so quick now, before you know it you will have your special little friend.I Also wanted to let you know about a really good book that I had decided to read before getting Roxy, called the perfect PUPPY by GWEN BAILEY, it's a really good read full of lots of good information. Good luck with your little puppy & looking forward to seeing pics & updates.

Best Wishes

Tracey
Thanks for the tip about the book - I'll be on Amazon in a minute. We are hoping for one of Lucy's pups. Having read your comments I think you could write a book too!

Tracey

It's a real good book Tricia such easy reading, & that's what I forgot to say, Amazon was where I bought it. I bet you can't wait to get your puppy can you? Roxy is one of Lucy's puppies & I best warn you now, allow extra time when you go out for walks as I have now lost count on the amount of people that stop you & ask about your dog. I can't wait for lucy's puppies to be born as it is going to bring back all the lovely memories of this time last year. Another tip that I would recommend is the clicker training, it has worked wonders for Roxy & she still works well with it now. I have the one that is also a whistle as well which really does come in handy. Good luck with your puppy Tricia.

Best Wishes
