Surprise !

4/4/2012

Its been a long 48 hours and my Mum's little Cleo has had 5 Cavapoo pups. This will be a surprise for everyone. Cleo is my mum's little Cavalier & she is 3 years old, she has on occasion been seen in photo's on my blog when she wanders over from my mum's annexe to play with our dogs. My mum tried her a year ago but no pups happened, so mum tried Reggie 12 months later & Cleo has produced 5 lovely pups. They did have to be delivered by cesarean as the first pup decided to come bum first with legs back, so yesterday evening was spent observing her & on examining her after her waters had broken & realising the pup was bum first with legs back l spent the night  traveling out to Bideford at around midnight with Cleo to then pick her up around 3am & after a 5am start the morning before & the children home, tonight putting my head down on a pillow will be very welcome.
This is the only litter Cleo will have & my mum is like a mother hen with her little brood. Cleo is doing really well she is a very sweet gentle natured girl & motherhood is coming naturally to her even though she missed the birth which can cause bonding problems sometimes especially with a first time mum. Cleo is very much attached to her new borns.
She has 3 golden/apricot boys, 1 black boy & 1 black girl. I will be intouch with people on my waiting lists about this litter.
Funny how you do not have a cesarean for a couple years & then have two straight off but all are well which is the most important thing.
Millie's brood are now over 14 days old & I got this video of them on Monday at 2 weeks old. As you can see they are all going on well. Now over twice the size born now.

Wow how lovely, Cleo's pups look absolutely beautiful and Millies puppies look like they are going from strength to strength, I must try to get you a picture of Alfie (if only I could get him to stay still for a minute!) I hope you manage to find time to have a well deserved rest,

Best wishes to you, family and all doggies too and i hope you have a lovely Easter,.

Hi Jane,
Congratulations to you & Cleo for the safe arrival of her pups. She really is a lovely sweet natured girl, I remember her fondly!
Any parent would be very lucky to have one of her pups.
I hope you manage to have a bit of a rest over Easter you deserve it!
Kind regards
Glenda

Wow Jane
Another lovely litter. Good old Reggie. I'm delighted for your Mum and hope she gets a lot of pleasure watching them progress.
Millie's pups look like they are plumping up nicely and obviously like their grub!
Hope you get some rest before the next litter arrives.
Kind Regards
Trish

Hello Trish,

I dont think for one minute that you are starving Spencer. I didn't even realise myself until I saw your responce that you had even put in the wrong weight. I'm glad to hear that he is doing ok :-) Our trip to Madrid was fantastic. Our daughter, Jodie did so well putting her Spanish into action & got us out of trouble on many occastion lol :-) not bad for a nine yr old. My husbands favorite was..... A BEER FOR MY DAD ! We all missed Roxy very much & just to echo what you said, thanks to Roxy it was nice to come back home. We have never left Roxy before & we thought that she would be a little unsettled, but our friend who looked after her said that she was the perfect dog. We now have the piece of mind that Roxy is going to be ok when we do our two wk main hol in the summer Hope you have a nice Easter & look forward to future updates on Spencer.

Best Wishes

Tracey :-) x

Hello Jane,

CONGRATULATIONS to you & Cleo. I bet your mum is over the moon with her new little family :-) Millies pups look like they are getting on really well. The milk bar never looks empty lol. I just had a look at the video they are really getting stuck in. Watching them is enough to make your toes curl!! I hope you are all keeping well & that you get a good nights rest. Wishing you all a very happy Easter.

Best Wishes

Tracey & Roxy xx :-)
