Pi has found a home to go too. Lovely person from Jersey, came and visited us this week to meet Pi and go for a couple walks with him. He is being castrated next week, all going well he will leave us once healed. It will be a bit of a trip, but we are preparing Pi. It looks at the moment that he will have to do the 4 hour crossing from Poole to Jersey, meaning being left in the car in a crate, but checked regularly. It would be nice if he could fly out from Exeter on a private light aircraft, but due to the 2019 English Channel Piper PA-46 crash, the person having him is finding it hard to find anyone with a private light aircraft who would do the flight with a passenger.  Runner beans and carrots fresh from the garden this evening to eat with our supper You might notice Treacle's three pups wearing what looks like new blue collars. These collar we put on them yesterday and are ADAPTIL Junior Collars. It's the first time using them. We turn on an an adaptil diffuser in the puppies sleeping and pen area a couple weeks before leaving us and normally use the adaptil spray when travelling them in our car, giving a bottle of the spray to their families to use when they leave us. The collar is a recent product. lasting around 4 weeks and hopefully will help with the process of them getting ready to leave us and settling in to their new homes. Treacle's three pups sleeping during the heavy rain we had today. The Poundlane pack and puppies taking their afternoon siesta  Bank holiday Monday and husband, David home, so put Puddin' and Pi in the car just after 6 am this morning, and went to Saunton sands beach with a couple of the children, who wanted to get up and go with us. Puddin' in the photo taken on David's mobile has been to the beach a couple times, but it was Pi's first time. I did not take a camera, as often it can become more about getting photos than enjoying the moment. I'd rather enjoy the moment. Pi really enjoyed it, getting quite excited for him with the feel of the sand under his paws. Unfortunately, David's phone is not that good at photos and the one above of Puddin' coming out of the dunes is the only photo he got of any quality. Treacle's three pups rest after playing under the shade of the Willow tree Our dogs have dug this hole by the Willow tree, and Treacle's pups seem to like hanging around in it. Earlier in august I posted some photos of Bumble and received a lovely update and photos from Kathy for Saffy, one of Bumble's daughters from her only litter so far. "Hi Jane I have just seen the lovely pictures of Bumble. I for one are very pleased you kept her - Saffy is lovely too! Thanks for breeding such a lovely dog! Kathy" We took Treacle's three pups out for their first trip in a car today.  Alfie at the end of his first car trip Alfie went first and whimpered a bit.  Saffy at the end of her first car trip Saffy went next and shaked a bit.  Ezra at the end of his first car trip Ezra went last and whimpered a little bit. They all did very well for their first trip in a car, and over the next week or so, we should see their confidence grow as they get used to travelling on their own in the car.
Ginty came to stay with us just over a week ago, and yesterday Andrea picked her up. She has been a pleasure to have around, and as always, interesting to see one of our pups all grown up.
