A lovely update came in today for Barney who is Albey's litter sibling.
A couple days ago Heather sent me new of Ernest and Lily's litter sibling, Albey.
Thanks Heather. Glad to here that Albey's first walk went so well.
Just so you can see, I'm never alone when blogging. The video is of Treacle's Ernest and Treacle at 11 weeks old and was filmed on Saturday by our son, Alfie whilst I was making supper. And the supper I was cooking: Sweet Potato and sausage soup with bread rolls made by our daughter, Florrie and another Fruit Pavlova.
Barney left us last weekend from Treacle's litter and a couple days ago Viv and Jan let me no that all was okay after their vet checked him over.
And below is the pasta bake I had just put in the oven after grating Parmesan cheese over it and then filming them this evening and is why they were so interested in licking my hands.
Blottie is one of the girls we kept from our first ever litter of Cavalier/Brittany puppies. 'The force is strong with this one.' You may ask what 'the force' is? It is the level of drive she has to hunt.
I must admit I get a great joy in working with her and an immense pleasure in watching her. She has amazing athleticism. She can jump a five bar gate from a stand still and jump a barb wire fence with a ditch the other side without breaking her stride. Some of the things she tackles. makes you look through your fingers, but she seems to be a good judge of her own ability so far. |
