Today our second child, Alfie celebrated his birthday. Yesterday I made his birthday cake. Which was meant to be a rugby ball, before you say anything, I know it looks more like an American football ball. Which Bert and Alfie our two oldest pointed out to me as well. Alfie though is lucky to get any birthday cake today. Yesterday when icing Alfie's birthday cake and leaving it unattended (whilst I looked on the computer for rugby ball cake designs) near the edge of the kitchen table. I came back to find Blottie on her hind legs balancing with her head tilted over the side of the table having licked about a third of the butter icing off the cake. I looked on the positive, as she could of dragged it off and eat the actual sponge cake, but with just butter icing licked off I could easily repair it with no one the wiser. As they say, "What the eye doesn't see, the heart doesn't grieve."
