Primrose's Cavapoo pups are now over three weeks old and yesterday we put collars on them. The two boys have blue collars and the two girls are in pink. They also yesterday have started to show an interest in food and have had a few licks of Royal Canin Starter, which is a dry food specially for pups up to 8 weeks old. It is a very small kibble and for the first few days I moisten it until they get into the hang of chewing it. Tonight I also have a few photo's of Dad Reggie. The last couple months we have had none stop bitch's on heat and thought we night have a break until spring but Smudge has decided to come on heat being 8 months since her last heat and just under six months ago she had nine pups, so still lots of juggling of dogs. Reggie is very good. The good thing is that Reggie and Toby get on really well even when girls are on heat around the place, as very often male dogs that get on well can get aggressive with each other when a bitch is on heat, seeing each other as competition but up until now Reggie and Toby seem very good mates and very much like my two old boys Smidge and Pupster, who always got on together even when the girls flashed their eyes at them.
