What a miserable wet day and so cold. I milked this morning and this evening put a polo neck back on under my fleece when I left to go milking after feeling some what chilled this morning. After ceremoniously removing my milking hat whilst milking at the weekend to herald in summer, my fleecy hat is now firmly back on my head again when milking today and looks like I might be employing my thermal vest and long johns again if this weather keeps up. Yesterday with Tilly our youngest daughter, I set off to Tavistock with Dolly and Ysobel for their eye tests. Both have the all clear, showing no clinical signs for either multifocal retinal dysplasia or hereditary cataract. We enjoy our little trips down to Tavistock to see Chris Warren, always an interesting chat with Chris Warren and on the way back yesterday a stop on Dartmoor, the dogs had a run and then a stop at Sourton for a quick coffee and a bacon and egg butty for me and a sausage butty for Tilly at Woody's Diner. Tilly does make me laugh so and yesterday as we sat eating our butties in the car parked up at Sourton I switched on the radio and the CD player was on and out blasted music and Tilly said crossing her legs and turning towards me with a serious look, "Mum is this Barney and the fish ?" I laughed and she did, as it was Hootie and the Blowfish which I have told her the name before, she obviously remembered the fish bit though and spent the rest of the trip back to home, asking me several times, "What are they called again Mum ? " If you have not heard of Hootie and the Blowfish and you like rock, country or folk they might be worth looking up, I was introduced to their music by chance by a friend back early in the nineties. A couple updates tonight as well with the first being from Sue with two photo's of Maisy who is from Primrose's litter born back in September 2012 with Dad being Reggie. The photo's show Maisy pre haircut and then post first haircut. Let hope the sun comes back soon so Maisy can enjoy her cooler haircut. Thanks sue for the sweet photo's and update of your Maisy. Hi Jane- thought I'd send you some updated photo's of Maisy. As you can see her fur has grown a lot and as it looked like we were heading into summer we decided it would be kind to get her trimmed! We took her to the local dog parlour (!) which she loved! Before and after photo's below. She's absolutely adorable and continues to bring us all so much joy! She also LOVES her regular walks with her half sister Poppy. Love Sue And next is a couple very cute photo's of Big Poppy's pups, who are now around three weeks old. Big Poppy we bred and Toni had from us as a puppy . Toni came back to me to use Reggie and breed one litter from Poppy now she is over two years old. Toni's family are keeping one and the other two are already spoken for. Look out now their mobile Toni, the real fun is about to start. Thanks Toni ! Hi Jane Puppies are doing well, and poppy :) they are all toddling around now and very cute, I will send you a couple of photos Toni I came in the door tonight from milking with my oldest son excitedly showing me this very cute video he took of Millie having a mad moment. Get the right dog and put time to them and they are such an asset to the family. Millie and our oldest son have such a close friendship and without sounding to soppy, its a lovely thing to watch them together, especially when they are unaware I'm watching them.
