Yesterday Primrose's temperature plummeted from normal temperature of around 38.2 down to 37.1 Celsius and now after a night of digging and panting intermittently, her temperature is steadily rising and is now back up to 38 Celsius. This is a sign that I would hope from her previous whelpings that have been text book, that she will start to produce pups by the end of today, into the early hours of Wednesday. I was on night watch last night and milking this morning. Handing over to husband at 5 am when I left for milking a little earlier, so to get back before husband leaves on the school run. One of our children has their birthday tomorrow, so I've now got to make a cake, which she has asked to look like a dog. I will post as soon as things start happening with Primrose, not the cake. Lol. The photo is from the day before yesterday and I caught Jessica with Primrose in the whelping box looking like her birthing partner. Primrose and Jessica are very close to each other in the pack, even though not closely related.
