Lap rug and stew Monday

When we started cross breeding to improve the health of the Cavalier, my main concern was keeping as much of the gentle nature and placid temperament of the Cavalier. We did our first cross this year with the Brittany with the Cavalier and they are proving to have certainly have one attribute of the Cavalier Spaniel, they are proper lap rugs. Bumble who is from our first Brittany cross Cavalier litter and is now just over six months is a terrible cuddle monster and loves nothing more than to keep your lap warm. My daughter Florrie caught her on my lap this evening as I was about to take a look on the computer with Belle, Toby and Lucy at my feet.

The beef stew and dumplings we had for supper tonight

Now the nights are drawing in and the days grow cooler, most Mondays are stew Monday at Poundlane. The type of stew depends on the meat cooked on Sunday. 
​The dogs love stew Mondays, as they get to lick off all the bowls before they go in the dishwasher.
