Oliver is Smudge's litter sibling and Madeleine who has Oliver sent me last year information about a Swedish study which I published information about on the blog 'Calling Cavalier owners in the UK and Sweden, their breed needs them !' Madeleine got the call for Oliver to be included in the study and contacted me this morning. "Hi Jane Do you remember the head shape study I told you about last year. We were included. Oliver met with a show judge in December and had his head measured by a vet at the same time. He had his MRI on Thursday last week and the scans are being reviewed by the BVA. I'm assuming you will be as interested as me in the results? According to the vet who measured his head he is low risk as he doesn't have the domed head that seems to be linked with SM/CM. Both the show judge and vet were impressed with how well he coped with the poking and prodding they did for saying he isn't a show dog. He was clearly a bit stressed as he was panting by the end but he was a trooper and didn't complain. The MRI was a pain in the bum. Long story short I had to take him twice as the first time they "forgot" to do him (WTF??) due to a filing issue! Anyway. Here he is waiting for the second time to be admitted for his MRI. I'll send over his results when I get them if you want. Speak soon Mxxx" Thanks Madeleine, it will be interesting to see his results.
