Primrose' three little Cavalier pups are now four days old and all seems well with them. Always amazing to have two litters on the ground at the same time this distance apart, because you can see how much growth is made in the first weeks and months of a puppy. Primrose is being her usual, I can't eat anything unless you hand feed me when I have puppies. I really think some bitches would almost starve themselves to near death when they first have pups. No such worries with Smudge, she just loves eating at whatever stage she has pups or is in pups. Such a lovely robust girl is our Smudge and such a laid back attitude to life and along with Henry's nature, I suspect these pups will make very loyal family/companion dogs. The video was taken yesterday as the pups clocked seven weeks. The first pup leaves us a week today, after their first vaccinations the day before. Harry is the first pup to leave us next Saturday and just happens I got some lovely photos with him asleep with his Mum in the slideshow below. We are keeping two of these pups, maybe more if we can't home the three still available. Lol Can't believe it is nearly time for these pups to start leaving us. Been a bit of a long week and losing a pup, can drain the old engine a bit more than one likes to admit. Last night I finally got settled down after coming home from milking, sorting out children, dogs and pups, and husband finally arriving home with our fish and chip supper. Our oldest son Bert captures the moment after eating my supper, I nod off trying to watch telly with Toby the father of Primrose's pups on my lap with his sister Jessica and Belle and Reggie up by my head.

A difficult time for you all but such lovely pictures and Primrose looks very content! And you can't beat cuddling dogs on the sofa - best part of the day!
