Quick blog tonight. Smudge had nine pups originally and two weeks ago Harry left for his home in Berkshire leaving eight. Tonight is the last might with us for Bertie 2 and Beasley. Both these boys leave us tomorrow. Bertie 2 is off to near Exeter and Beasley to Somerset. All these pups had their second vaccination for Distemper, Hepatitis and Parvo (DHP) today at our home and all went well. I meet a vet from the surgery who I had not meet before. She is a young vet who just started this Spring working in the vets I use. She was impressed with the look and how relaxed the pups were. She also commented on how nice it was to meet someone so well organised with the paperwork with their pups. With certain things in life, I have found it is much easier to be organised, than not. Although I am partial to a bit of flying by the seat of my pants if needed. Just went to my inbox and found that I had been sent an update for Harry, who was the first pup to leave Smudge's litter two weeks ago.
"Hi Jane, I hope all the 10 week injections went well today. Harry had his this evening, he was a star and didn't even flinch. He has been growing so quickly and his appetite seems to have really increased over the last week, I'm sure you are seeing the same with the other puppies. We have taken Harry to a couple of puppy classes and it is amazing to see how laid back he is compared to some of the other puppies there. The vets running the class keep saying how quickly he's picking up the commands. We are all enjoying having Harry in the family and everyone who meets him loves him. Hope you have a great weekend and we'll send some more pictures once we can take Harry out and about. Nicola" Thanks for that Nicola. Great to hear that Harry is doing so well and taking life in his relaxed stride.
