Smudge has started labour with her first pup a little girl being born at 8.50am this morning. Been up the last couple nights with her, so my cognitive functions are a little in tatters at the moment. She was born quite easily as she was backwards. She is sucking well with first time Mum looking at her slightly awe struck. Normally with a first litter its the second or third pup the mother really kicks in with a dog. Fingers crossed and will post later with news.  Smudge with her first pup born 8.50am this morning
