Thankfully no red face and Millie convalesces

17/5/2013

Thankfully no red face tonight after predicting Dolly is in pups. Dolly was scanned today, we have around six pups. Last time she was in pups the scan confirmed around six and we had eight live pups. Scans are not exact but let you know a pup either way the size litter you are having which does help in preparation for the birth and the scanning comes into its own once the mother is whelping (in labour) and  if you think all is not well.
I will be contacting every one waiting on this litter in the next couple days to confirm your interest still.
Millie was spayed today and also had a dental whilst out to remove a bit of plaque build up. Keeping a dogs teeth clean is an important part of keeping a dog healthy and  makes it a more pleasent experience when they kiss you. Lol
Millie has come through her surgery fine and is enjoying all the attention and being waited on paw and paw.

Millie convalesces after being spayed today
A bit coincidental tonight with Millie being spayed we have an update today from Millie her cavapoo grandaughter. Millie is from Smudge's amazing litter of nine pups born last year on 27th April and Smudge is our Millie's  daughter.
Thanks Alison for the sweet photos of Millie and your update. Always nice to hear all is going well with a Poundlane puppy.

Hello Jane,

Hope you and your family are all keeping well, just thought I would say hello have been meaning to do so since her birthday , Millie continues to be an absolute delight after reading your blog seems to be that you are as good as your word all your pups have flourished from the care and love that comes from poundlane.

I always knew I made the right decision travelling so far to have Millie I have seen mums at our school that have Cavapoos they come from the same breeder but would appear that she has bred twice in one year from the same bitch - although changed her name but not her phone number!  Had a chat with the groomer who had commented on what good condition Millie's coat is in compared to some of these pups from this rather uncaring breeder, she also seems to have a much nicer temperament too commented on by the vet and groomer.

Millie had a nice birthday walk at our local woods whilst we had a birthday breakfast she had a birthday bone.

As you can see by the photo she makes herself very comfortable on the settee and is also a great help when I leave the dishwasher door open.

Bye for now.

Alison and Millie xx

Dear Jane,
It was also coincidental that Millie was spayed yesterday as three years ago Millie gave birth to six pups, one being Maddie. Did you not receive the card Maddie sent to her siblings?

Hello Alison, Ray and Maddie,

that is coincidental as I new Smudge was coming three this month and had not realised her Mum being spayed was the same date as her birthday.
I have not recieved the card yet Alison but our post has been really bad lately. I recieved are electric bill yesterday and apparently it had been posted to us on the 2nd May.
Hope all is going on well after Maddie's eye operation and that you are all well and lovely to hear from you and lastly Happy 3rd Birthday Maddie and the same goes to your five siblings.

Kind regards

Jane x

Dear Jane,
Maddie is doing very well and is still getting lots of attention. She loves the beach and is very stubborn now not understanding the law that dogs aren't allowed on the beach after 1st May. She sits at the end of the slip way and won't budge. We now have to go to Instow nearly every day. Ver spoilt. We were hoping to get away a lot more this year but I have been poorly since January so have only had the odd weekend away. We went to Manchester and I had to have a wheelchair and it was so crowded Maddie had to sit on my lap. Well you would have thought she was the Queen sitting there very proudly, everybody commented on her, it took us twice as long to get round. Hope all is well with the family, your mum and of course the dogs.
Love,
Alison, Ray and Maddie x

Fingers and toes on my paws crossed there is a gold one for me to play with... they would be my brother or sister.
