Lovely day here today in North Devon & with North Devon Show on today just down the road from us they are very lucky as the weather has been very up & down the last couple weeks. North Devon Show is a local Country Fair & a lovely place to catch up with friends & what their upto in the rural spread of North Devon but this year although having good weather this may stop several agricultral families from attending as with on & off rain for the last couple days & then a fair day like today most including my husband will be busy trying to literally make hay while the sun shines. The hot weather today sees our dogs all lay strewn about the place as the sun passes over. The children are also seemingly taking a breather after lunch & the mornings escapades, so I have snatched a chance to blog & share some lovely photo's of Millie, Smudge & Lucy watching my husband eating his tea a couple nights ago. You may notice rather a lot of photo's of Millie as to me she is almost the perfect Cavalier in my eye but to any one showing Cavaliers she would not be. To me she is what a Cavalier was in the time of King Charles II. She is so elegant, very loving, loyal & is a phonomenal little hunter. She will work a hedge or cover as well as her bigger counter parts the Springer or Cocker Spaniel. She is a joy to watch & has a beautiful shape, fearlessness & fluidity in her movement. In her daughter Smudge we have all Millie's qualities bar one which is Smudge has taken her Father's Charlie's handsome head, so is not so elegant in her head as Mum but using the right dog with Smudge in the future I hope to maybe reproduce Millie's elegant head. The children are starting to stir, so time to go. Enjoy the photo's !

Hello Vanessa, Happy belated Birthday Alfie ! That year just flew past. Alfie is certainly a handsome chap. Mum is doing well & hope to get another Alfie from her as would love to keep a Cavapoo of his type back as a stud dog eventually. Look forward to catching up again soon. Comments are closed.
